Never Miss Out on Points for Everyday Online Purchases Again with Southwest Airlines’ New Google Chrome Extension

Never Miss Out on Points for Everyday Online Purchases Again with Southwest Airlines’ New Google Chrome Extension

Today I was shopping for tires and stumbled upon an awesome feature that you need to take part in now.

If you are not familiar with online portals, you are leaving thousands of free points on the table. All you need to do is go to the shopping portal and find the website you are shopping at. These are roughly 1-3 points/miles per $1 but can go as high as 12-20+ points/miles per $1. All major airlines have their own portals as well as credit card companies. Using Cashbackmonitor.com helps you determine who is offering the most points/miles/cashback for most websites.

My favorites are shop through Ultimate Rewards (Must use Chase Ultimate Rewards Earning Card), Discover Deals (Must Use Discover Card), British Airways Avios eStore (Any Card) and finally Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Shopping (Any Card).

It is easy to forget that you can get extra points/miles when making an online purchase.

But Southwest Airlines solved that problem and more with its new extension for Google Chrome.

Here are the details:

Launch your Chrome Browser and Download the Extension

Once it is finished loading you will see the Southwest Button on the top right-hand corner along with your other extensions.

You will be notified when browsing websites that point earning is available. All you have to do is simply click activate and you are all set.

Here is the example for TireRack.com

Another sweet feature that the extension provides is when searching on Google, you can see which websites have point offers for Southwest Airlines portal.

This is what a Google search for Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZP turns up…

You can see that different websites have different offers. So, you can shop similarly priced items for more points.

In my shopping today, I did not end up using Southwest Airlines Portal because I did a search for TireRack.com on CashBackMonitor.com and found that British Airways Shopping Mall had Tire Rack for 6 miles/$. Along with using my American Express Blue for Business Plus card that earns 2 points on every $1… I earned roughly 4,300 miles on my $540 purchase!

Download the Rapid Rewards Shopping Portal Extension today and never miss out on free points!
