Southwest announced last week that they were testing out a new boarding process for companion pass holders who are flying out of DAL or DEN only.
But what if you no plans to fly out of DAL or DEN? What if you aren’t a Companion Pass holder?
The following is a Mileaholic Exclusive Hack for boarding together on Southwest Airlines that anyone can do.
Mileaholic Success Rate: 90% (As always…YMMV)
Step 1:
Once you check in for yourself and your companion (or anyone traveling with you; Max 1 other person)
Add both boarding passes to your digital wallet. Or to the wallet of whoever has the best boarding group.
Step 2:
Have you and your fellow traveler step in line together of at the best boarding position.
Step 3:
When you are next in line to scan your boarding pass… Say you also have the other persons boarding pass on your mobile device also.
Smile and execute the scan with no hesitation. Set your phone at 100% brightness beforehand so the scan goes without issue. Swipe over and scan the second pass…
